MRS. JEAN STONE

   Mrs. Jean Stone, 50, of 624 Highwood Road, Beaverton, died Friday, Oct. 31, 
in the Gladwin Area Hospital of a heart attack. Born in Beaverton on January 
14, 1925, she had spent her life in Gladwin County. The former Jean Cowell, 
she was married to Jay (Vern) Stone on June 14, 1942, in Gladwin.
   Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Larry of Saginaw; a 
daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Barbara) Conner of Saginaw; one foster-son Douglas 
Millick of Beaverton; one sister, Mrs. Joyce Hart of Saginaw; two brothers, 
Donald Cowell of Gladwin and David Cowell of Harrison; and four grandchildren.
   Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin. 
The Rev. David Frederick officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
