She was born in Bad Axe on Oct. 11, 1912, and graduated from Bad Axe High School and Hurley Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed at St. Joseph's Hospital in Detroit and the Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center, Midland, until she retired in 1962. She lived in Midland from 1944 to 1972 when she moved to Beaverton. The former Eva Western, she was married to Marvin Stube on July 15, 1939, in Detroit. Besides her husband, she is survived by 4 sons, Tim and Charles of Beaverton, Douglas of Caro and Steven of Midland; one daughter, Mrs. John (Gretchen) Harper of Midland; one brother, Ralph of East Tawas; 3 sisters, Laura Nellett of East Tawas, Bernita Haertg of Pinehurst, N.C. and Verna Schurr of Sun City West, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca Stube. Services were held Friday at 11 a.m. from St. Anne's Catholic Church in Edenville. The Rev. Father James Heller officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery, Beaverton. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
