Swinson, 60, of 1311 Estey Rd., All-Bright Shores, Billings Township, died sudden Wednesday, Feb. 23, at his home of a heart attack. Born in Gladwin County, January 1, 1917, he had been a life-time resident of the county. Mr. Swinson was a retired Dow Chemical employee and operated the All- Bright Shores Realty until a year ago. He had been an active member of the Gladwin County Chamber of Commerce and a past chairman of the Ice Carnival Committee. He and the former Minnie Chambers were married August 16, 1952, in Bay City, and she survives him. Other survivors are 2 sons; William Sargent of Beaverton and Robert Sargent of Midland; 2 daughters, Mrs. Steven (Sheila) Jones of Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Alfred (Barbara) Paul of Beaverton; 6 brothers, Frank, William and Richard of Rhodes, Melvin of Midland, Donald of Bay City and Bobbie of Sanford; 4 sisters, Mrs. Betty Knight of Anchorage, Alaska, Mrs. Donna Witer and Mrs. Leona Sheets, both of Billings, and Mrs. Ruth King of Columbus, Ga.; and 11 grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Fred Wilson officiated and burial was in Billings Cemetery.
