George Albert Swinson, 85, of Albright Shores, died Sunday, July 22, in the 
Gladwin Area Hospital following an illness of two weeks. Born May 9, 1888, in 
Marlette, he had been a resident of Gladwin County since 1916. He was a 
retired farmer and carpenter, and was a member of the Billings Missionary 
Church and Billings Senior Citizens Club.
   Surviving are his wife, Edna; seven sons, Frank, William and Richard, all 
of Rhodes, Charles of Albright Shores, Melvin and Bobbie of Midland, and 
Donald of Bay City; four daughters, Mrs. Betty Knight of Gladwin, Mrs. Donna 
Witer and Mrs. Leona Sheets of the Beaverton area, and Mrs. Ruth King of 
Georgia; 41 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
   Services are today (Wednesday) at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home, 
Gladwin, with the Rev. Neil Keyes officiating. Burial will be in the Billings 
Township Cemetery.
