Arla J. Thompson, 62, of 5444 Mangus Rd., Beaverton, died Monday, June 18, in 
the Clare Nursing Home following a long illness. The former Arla Post, she was 
born on December 22, 1921 in Midland and moved here four years ago from 
Genesee County. She was married to Raymond Thompson and was a housewife. 
Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Clara Post of Tampa , 
Fla.; and four brothers, Floyd Post of Saginaw, Leland Post of Lomita, Calif., 
Duane Post of Whittier, Calif. and Herbert Post of Placentia, Calif. Services 
will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel and burial will be in the Dale Cemetery.
