Gladwin County Record dated 01-13/1993 Column - 3 Page - 2 
Edith A. Tyre, 89, of Beaverton, died Friday, Jan. 8, 1993, in the Mid 
Michigan Regional Medical Center, Gladwin, after a long illness. She was born 
in Bay City on April 3, 1903, and came to Gladwin County in 1965. The former 
Edith Cox, she was married to Charles Tyre and he preceded her in death in 
1972.
   Surviving are 3 sons, Lloyd of Beaverton, Harold of Japan and Charles of 
Gladwin; one daughter, Carol Tyre of Beaverton; 2 sisters, Lillian Schegal and 
Alice Tyre of West Branch; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was 
preceded in death by a son, Carl. 
   Rites were held Sunday at 6 p.m. from the Sisson Funeral Home. The Rev. 
David Stewart officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
