RITES TODAY FOR MR. VANSCHAICK

   Horace A. VanSchaick, 81, of Beaverton, died at his home early Sunday 
morning after an illness of two and a half months. Born in Genesee County on 
Jan. 11, 1886, he came to Gladwin County 31 years ago from Paris, Mich. Mr. 
VanSchaick was a retired well driller. He was married to the former Lillian 
Swiger on Sept. 7, 1918, in Flint.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by one granddaughter. A son, Donald, 
preceded him in death. Rites were held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. from the 
Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Lester A. Kline officiated and burial was in the 
Dale Cemetery.
