Gladwin County Record dated 02-21/1979 Column - 6 Page - 2  
Mrs. Lillian VanSchaick, 89, of 404 Mountain, Bay City, died Thursday, Feb. 
15, in Bay Medical Center after a short illness. Born in Paris on October 10, 
1889, she lived in Gladwin County from 1936 to 1970. The former Lillian 
Swiger, she was married to Horace VanSchaick on September 7, 1918, in Flint. 
He preceded her in death on December 24, 1967.
   Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Madge Berger of Big Rapids; 3 brothers, Carl 
of Cadillac, Paul of Reed City and Charles of Paris; one grandchild and 2 
great grandchildren. Rites were held Saturday at 3 p.m. from the Hall Funeral 
Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Mark Moore officiated and burial was in the 
Dale Cemetery.
