Lang Rd., Beaverton, died Tuesday, May 3, in the Clare Community Hospital, after a short illness. Born in Fairview, W. Va., Sept. 28, 1903, he moved to Gladwin County in 1937. Mr. Walker was pumper for Sun Oil Co. and retired in November 1970 after 25 years. He was a member of the Beaverton United Methodist Church. Mr. West and the former Mary Fordyce, were married Jan. 6, 1923, in Oakland, Md. Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Richard (Lucille) Roehrs, Mrs. Erma Perry and Mrs. Dale (Joanne) Brown of Beaverton; one sister, Mrs. Edith Himerick of Hartford, Conn.; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Two brothers and 2 sisters preceded him in death. Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Janet Larner will officiate and burial will be in the Tobacco Township Cemetery.
