RUTH WALTON

   Mrs. Ruth M. Walton, 67, of 2750 Knox Rd., Beaverton, died Saturday, June 
28, in the Midland Hospital Center following a long illness. Born in 
Wellsville, Kan., on November 27, 1912, she came to Gladwin County in 1942 
from Illinois. The former Ruth Dorsey, she was married to Leland (Hap) Walton 
on July 6, 1928, in Kansas. He preceded her in death September 12, 1979.
   Surviving are 2 sons, Donald and William of Beaverton; one daughter, Mrs. 
Glen (Nora) Searfoss of Beaverton; 4 brothers, Earl of Kansas City, Kan., 
Robert of Independance, Mo. and Chester and Dorsey of Raymondville, Mo. and 
Fred Chambers of Iola Kan.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Betty Barlett of Burlington, Kan., 
Mrs. Carolee Raby of Ottawa, Kan. and Mrs. Laura Preslar of Crescent City, 
Calif. A daughter, Dorothy, also preceded her in death.
   Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin 
Chapel. The Rev. Mark Moore officiated and burial was in the Beaverton 
Cemetery.
