Mrs. Mary R. Ward, 79, of All-Bright Shores, died Friday, July 30, in the 
Gladwin Area Hospital after a long illness. Born in Bay City on Jan. 20, 1892, 
she came to Gladwin County 19 years ago. The former Mary LaRoche, she was 
married to Lorenzo N. Ward on Aug. 3, 1912, in Reese. He preceded her in death 
on Aug. 7, 1962.
   Surviving are one son, Stuart, of Bay City; one daughter, Mrs. Leota 
Studniarz, of Bay City; two brothers, William, of Detroit and Henry, of Flint; 
five sisters, Mrs. Stella Marand, Mrs. Irene Trudel, Mrs. Phoebe Yax and Mrs. 
Anna Girard, of Bay City and Mrs. Philidelia Ball, of Plymouth; 14 
grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
   Rites were held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. 
Father Edward Trombley officated and burial was in the Billings Cemetery. A 
Rosary was said Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home.
