GEORGE WELKER

   Funeral services were held Saturday at the Beaverton cemetery for George 
Welker, a former resident of Beaverton, who died in Flint. Born in Germany 
August 17, 1863, and he came to the United States 44 years ago. After living 
in New York five years he came to Beaverton. When his health failed he went to 
Flint to live.
   Surviving him are his wife, four daughters, five grandchildren, a brother 
at Beaverton, and a sister, and a brother in Germany.
