RITES HELD SUNDAY FOR G. W. WHETSTONE

   Funeral services for George W. Whetstone, 77, were held on Sunday afternoon 
from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Erma Pierce of the Beaverton Church of 
the Nazarene officiated and burial was made in the Dale cemetery. Mr. 
Whetstone was born in Sioux City, Iowa on April 14, 1874. On April 1, 1903 he 
married Clara Hill in Defiance, Ohio. He has been a resident of Beaverton 
township for the past 40 years. After several weeks illness he passed away on 
Thursday, November 22, in Saginaw.
   Surviving are one daughter, Nella Hill of Saginaw; two brothers, Ernest and 
Daniel Whetstone; one sister, Mrs. Mary Pulse of Detroit; also one grandson, 
Robert Hill of the United States Navy. Pallbearers were Enson Grice, Walter 
Coney, Ernest Nunn, Joe Long, Archie Anderson, Cecil Cascadden.
