Whipple, 72, of Albright Shores, Beaverton, died Wednesday in Gladwin Area Hospital following a short illness. He was born Aug. 20, 1910, in Olustee, Okia. He was employed by the A&P Tea Co. as a meat cutter for 35 years in Bay City, Flint, and Saginaw. He retired in 1972. He moved from Bay City to Albright Shores in 1968. He was a member of the Albright Shores Eagles Club No. 3655, a lifetime member of the Bay City Moose Club No. 169, and a member of Meat Cutters Local No. 539 of Detroit. He married the former Catherine Williams, March 20, 1955, in Bay City. He leaves his wife; daughters, Mrs. Edward (Jackie) Connolly of Carleton and Mrs. Norbert (Nancy) Napieralski of Tecumseh; son, Victor Whipple of Albright Shores; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a brother, Pete Whipple of Georgetown, Ky. A daughter, Patricia Wielock, died April 24, 1975. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hall Funeral Home Beaverton Chapel with the Rev. Dana Lane officiating. Burial will be at Billing Township Cemetery at Albright Shores. There will be a Moose memorial service at the funeral home at 8 p.m. today and an Eagle memorial service at graveside.
