G. Clifton White, 64, of Beaverton, died suddenly Wednesday, Sept. 3, of a 
heart attack at his home at 3753 White Road. Born in Mayfield, Ky., on Feb. 7, 
1911, he came to Gladwin County 40 years ago from Detroit. He retired from the 
Dow Chemical Company in Midland in 1967. Mr. White and the former Fern Coy 
were married on January 5, 1973, in Bay City.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Blood of 
Bay City; two step-sons, David Coy serving with the Army in Germany and Lloyd 
Spencer of Beaverton; two step-daughters, Mrs. Maxine Barber of Mt. Pleasant 
and Mrs. Pauline Smith of Chelsea; two brothers, Howard and Fred of Midland; 
one sister, Mrs. Mildred Pursell of Midland; 13 grandchildren and two great 
grandchildren.
   Rites were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton. 
The Rev. Arthur Whisler officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
