ROBERT J. WHITEHOUSE

   Robert J. Whitehouse, 62, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001 at 
Central Michigan Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, following a short 
illness. Born Aug. 11, 1938 in Beaverton, he was a lifetime resident of 
Gladwin County. He graduated from Beaverton High School in 1956. 
Upon completing hardware retail courses, he was employed at Bye’s Hardware in 
Midland, and Sears in Detroit. He owned the Gulf Gas Station in Beaverton, and 
was the president of the Beaverton Business Men’s Association. He was also an 
artist, and also enjoyed golfing, fishing, drawing, and antique cars. 
   Surviving are his step-father, Deloss Richardson of Beaverton; one sister, 
Juanita Simon of Beaverton; seven brothers, John Whitehouse of Grand Rapids, 
Otis and wife Janet Whitehouse, William and wife Rosemarie Whitehouse, and 
Edward and wife Patricia Whitehouse, all of Beaverton, Larry and wife Denise 
Richardson, Jerry and wife Jo Richardson, and James and wife Vicki Richardson, 
all of Coleman; special friends, John and Becky Hockemeyer of Midland; and 
several nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by his parents. 
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton with 
Pastor Paul Krenzke officiating.
