Wayne E. Whitman, 66, of 5928 S. Warren Rd., Beaverton, died suddenly 
Thursday, Dec. 27, 1990, in the MidMichigan Regional Medical Center, Midland. 
Born in Bay City, he moved to Gladwin County in 1929. He was a truck driver in 
the service dept. at Dow Chemical Co. for 34 years until retiring in 1979. Mr. 
Whitman then worked as a carpenter until 1989. He was a member of the R.L.D.S. 
Church in Beaverton. Mr. Whitman and the former Aileen Foster were married 
July 18, 1946, in Midland.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by 4 sons, John of LaSalle, Robert of 
Lenexa, Kan., William of Harrison and Dwayne of Beaverton; one daughter, Mrs. 
Trusty (Wanda) Bolton of Virginia Beach, Va.; his father, Floyd Sr. of 
Carlsbad, N. M.; a brother Floyd Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; 13 grandchildren and 3 
great grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Hall 
Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. Thomas Rodabaugh officiated and burial was in 
the Tobacco Township Cemetery.
