SERVICES HELD FOR ROBERT WHITMER

   Robert Gene Whitmer, 30, of Beaverton passed away April 13 of injuries 
received in an explosion at Dow Chemical Company, Midland, on April 5. Robert 
was born in Midland on July 13, 1925 and married Juanita L. Whitehouse on 
September 3, 1949 at Beaverton. He had lived in Beaverton most of his lifetime.
   He is survived by his wife, Juanita; three sons, Ronald Gene, Dennis John 
and Chris Steven, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Whitmer of 
Beaverton; two brothers, Olan LeRoy and Daniel Raymond at home; two sisters, 
Barbara Sue, at home, and Mrs. Lillian Mae Tolly of Beaverton. Funeral 
services were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Brethren with 
the Rev. Ernest Jehnsen an dthe Rev. Larry Grubaugh officiating. Burial was in 
Dale cemetery.
