She was born on July 12, 1908 in Defiance, Ohio to the late Marshall and Carrie (McQuestion) Ney. She married Horace Willett Sept. 3, 1928 in Gladwin. He preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 1969. She retired from teaching after 35 years. She also volunteered her time as a Ladies Aid at the hospital and was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by three son, Eugene (Virgilene) Willett of Lennon, Jack (Helen) Willett of Dolores, Col., and Dennis (Linda) Willett of Gladwin; four daughters, Wilma (Frank) Kempl of Rhodes, Faye (Paul) Adams of Dayton, Ohio, Yvonne “Bonnie” (Delmar) Tomlinson of Midland, and Dolores Fennell of Gladwin; 28 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Eva Garver and Myrtle (Clarence) Cremains, both of Gladwin. She was predeceased by two grandchildren, seven brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, 2003 at the Sisson Funeral Home, with Rev. Lynn Chappell presiding, and with burial in Bentley Cemetery, Bentley. The Sisson Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
