Williams, 76, of 4469 S. M-18, Beaverton, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, in the Saginaw Community Hospital after a short illness. Born in Clare, July 23, 1911, he lived in Beaverton from 1955 to 1962 when he moved to Sanford. In 1981, Mr. Williams moved back to Beaverton. He was a tool and die setter and worked for Pontiac Motors in Pontiac for 10 years until retiring in 1955 and then for 16 years until retiring in 1982. Mr. Williams was a member of the Gladwin I.O.O.F. Lodge 177, Rebekah Golden Rod Lodge 151 and Blue Star Dad's of America. Mr. Williams and the former Dessa Utley were married May 31, 1935, in Clare. Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Robert of Beaverton, Lawrence of Hanover and Durwin of Jackson; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Jeanette) McKimmy of Beaverton and Mrs. James (Sandy) Holland of Frankling, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Maxine Wilson of Midland; 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Paul, Noel and Romain Williams. Services were held Saturday at 4 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Mike Clare officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery.
