DOUBLE RITES FOR CRASH VICTIMS

   Mrs. Marlene Marie Williams, 23, and infant daughter, Rebecca Irene, lost 
their lives in Shiawassee County in an auto accident at the corner of West M-
21 and Baldwin Road on Monday. The former Marlene Marie Smith was born in 
Beaverton to Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Smith on Nov. 7, 1940. She was married to 
Robert Williams on June 8, 1958, in Beaverton, and they moved to Ovid two 
years ago.
   Survivors include her husband, Robert, a daughter, Deborah, and two sons, 
Mathew and Timothy Noel, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Smith, 
of Beaverton; two sisters, Barbara Crosby, of Midland, and Carol Jenkins, of 
Iowa.
   Rebecca Irene Williams was born in St. Johns on March 29, 1963, and is also 
survived by her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. E. Williams, of 
Averill. Funeral services for both will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the 
Beaverton Church of the Brethren with Rev. Randall Roose officiating. Burial 
is in Dale Cemetery.
