Winn, 45, of Beaverton township, died Thursday morning after an illness of about ten days. Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Beaverton Church of the Nazerene, with the Rev. Roy Munger, of the Daniel Band church officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Wesley Huggard and Rev. John Smith. A short prayer service at the home preceded the service at the church. Burial was in the Beaverton cemetery. Mr. Winn was born on October 20, 1889, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Winn in Paulding county, Ohio. He came to the county 34 years ago and operated a farm in Beaverton township. On September 3, 1919 he was married to Hazel Greaves in Beaverton. Surviving are his wife, Hazel; four daughters, Mrs. Eunice McClaren, Mrs. Stella J. Munger, of Beaverton, Donnabelle and Hazel-ann Winn, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Winn, Sr., of Beaverton; seven sisters, Mrs. Josephine Parks, of Delaware, Ohio, Mrs. Anna Broka, Mrs. Marie Williams, Mrs. Olive Spicer, of Beaverton, Mrs. Emma Wagar, of Midland, Mrs. Clara Brown and Mrs. Mary Price, of Gladwin; one brother, George Winn, of Clare county. A son, James Winn, Jr., was killed in action during World War II. Pallbearers were Ernest Nunn, Gordon Morris, Albert Seymour, Thomas Huggard, Herbert Clark and Charles Clark.
