SERVICES HELD FOR JAMES WINN

   James Madison Winn, 73, passed away, Thursday, Jan. 27, at the home of his 
daughter, Mrs. Orien Wagar, at Midland. Mr. Winn was born Janurary 3, 1872 in 
Delaward, Ohio and married Mary Jane Robinson on Aug. 4, 1892. He had been a 
resident of Gladwin county 43 years. Mrs. Winn preceded him in death in 1950. 
Among the survivors are six daughters, Mrs. L. Marie Williams of Hermansville, 
Mrs. Emma E. Wagar of Midland, Mrs. D. Olive Spicer and Mrs. Annie Broka of 
Beaverton, Mrs. Mary L. Price of Gladwin and Mrs. Josephine Parks of Delaware, 
Ohio; one son, George of Clare; two brothers, Presley of Fort Wayne, Ind., and 
Richard of Toledo; also 45 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren and one great 
great grandchild. One son and three daughters preceded him in death.
   Services were held January 30 at 2:00 p.m. at the Beaverton Church of the 
Nazarene with the Rev. Allen Cobb officiating. Burial was in the Beaverton 
cemetery. The grandsons acted as pallbearers.
