SERVICES FOR CHARLES WIRT THURSDAY

   Charles O. Wirt, 82, of Beaverton, died at the Tolfree Memorial Hospital, 
West Branch, on May 13 after a two weeks illness. A retired jeweler, Mr. Wirt 
had lived in Gladwin county for fifty-six-years, coming here from Eaton county 
where he was born on Sept. 19, 1874. In Dec. 1896 he was married to the former 
Miss Margaret Hunter there. She preceded him in death in Dec. 1951.
   Survivors include four sons, Glen of Beaverton, Dale of Chesaning, Paul of 
Flint, and Leo of Arizona; 16 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren; one 
brother, Martin of Holt, and one sister. Funeral services will be held 
Thursday, May 16, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles G. 
Wirt, a grandson of Mr. Wirt, will officiate at the services. Burial will be 
in the Dale cemetery.
