Wirt, 73, of 129 Tonkin Street, Beaverton, died at his home early Thursday, March 30, of a sudden heart attack. Born May 6, 1898, in Sunfield, Mr. Wirt had been a resident of Gladwin County for 53 years. He was a retired farmer. His wife, the former Flossie Weaver, preceded him in death in August 1956. Surviving are two sons, Charles of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Henry of Gladwin; five daughters, Mrs. Violet Bishop of Beaverton, Mrs. Glenna Howard of Gladwin, MRs. Daisy Letts, Mrs. Viola Hintz, and Mrs. Margaret Bishop, all of Midland; a brother, Leo of Arizona; 42 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton, with the Rev. Charles Wirt officiating. Burial was in Dale Cemetery.
