Sheriff Hugo Muehlenbeck, of Saginaw, and Sheriff Ira Smith, of Midland, investigated. It is believed Woodby suffered a slight stroke causing the accident. Mrs. Woodby suffered severe-cuts and Mrs. Lee Fenton, an ankle injury. Mr. Fenton's 13- month-old baby was uninjured. The women were treated at the Midland General hospital and released. Mrs. Woodby was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown here, and Mrs. Fenton returned to her home in Flint. Mr. Woodby was rushed to the hospital, but died before admittance. Mr. Woodby was well known in Gladwin county having lived here many years before moving to Flint about twenty years ago. Funeral services for Jason Woodby were conducted at 1 p.m. at the Bradley funeral home in Midland and at 2:30 p.m. at the Dale Methodist Church, with the Rev. E. H. Longman officiating. Burial was in the Dale cemetery. Mr.Woodby was born December 22, 1884, in North Carolina, and moved to Michigan with his parents when a small child. For the past 20 years Mr. and Mrs. Jason Woodby have lived in Flint where he was employed by the Buick Motor Company. Surviving are his widow, Charity Woodby; and two nieces whom they have cared for from infancy, Miss Eva Leen Bardwell and Mrs. Iva Fenton, of Flint; his mother, Mrs. Cynthia Woodby; of Beaverton; two brothers, Fred Woodby of Beaverton and Isaac W. Woodby of Flint; three sisters, Mrs. LaZetta Brown of Beaverton, Mrs. Marie Webber of Wooster, Mass., and Mrs. Clara Hayman of Lyons, Ohio.
