WOODFUFF DIES MAY 9TH Edward S. Woodruff, 86, resident of Gladwin county for nearly 50 years, died at the home of his son Earl, in Billings township, Tuesday, May 9th. Funeral services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Woodruff home in Billings township with the Rev. Henry Kreulen of the Beaverton Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was in the Billings Cemetery. Son of Henry and Martha Woodruff, he was born in Croswell, Sanilac county, on November 7, 1857. He was married in 1882 to Emmaretta Shreeve who preceded him in death in 1926. The Woodruffs came to Gladwin county in 1895 and settled on their farm in Billings township where he has since resided except for two years spent in Port Huron. Surviving are two sons, George, of Port Huron, and Earl, of Billings township, 14 grandchildren. Two daughters, Era and Nellie, preceded their father in death.
