He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Yager and had been employed by his father as a truck driver. Riding as a passenger in an automobile, driven by Rex Stockton of Gladwin, he received severe injuries when the car was involved in an accident with a truck driven by John McDonald, of Coleman. Taken to a Saginaw hospital, he died a short time after admittance. Stockton was treated for lacerations of the head and legs. The driver of the truck was not injured. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. from the Church of the Brethren, with Rev. E. S. Hollinger officiating. Burial will be made in the Dale cemetery. Robert was born January 18, 1928 and had lived all his life in Beaverton and vicinity. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers and three sisters, Jerry, Marlin, James, Ardith, Joanne and Berniece; four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Burr and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Yager, all of Beaverton.
