Harry A. Yontz Sr., 77, of 739 E. Highwood Rd., Beaverton, died suddenly Saturday, Nov. 25, 1989, at his home. Born in Harrisburg, Pa., Aug. 26, 1912, he moved to Gladwin County in 1971 from Berkley. Mr. Yontz was an inspector for Pontiac Motors and retired in 1971 after 36 years. He was a member of the Hay and Billings Senior Citizens Clubs. Mr. Yontz and the former Emma Switzer were married, Aug. 10, 1934, in Berkley. She died Sept. 24, 1976. He then married Nell Yakuber, Sept. 3, 1977, in Beaverton. Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Gerald Yontz of New Port Richie, Fla. and Harry Yontz Jr. of Royal Oak; one daughter, Mrs. John (Joan) Parish of Warren; a step-son, Paul Yakuber of Gladwin; a step-daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Diane) Ledsema of Farmington Hills; one sister, Mrs. Minerva Heilmer of Elizabethtown, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Leon Bovee officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
