Robert C. Zmich, 80, of Gladwin, passed away peacefully Thursday May 8, 2014, at 
his home with his family at his state following a brief illness. 
He was born in Tyre on June 30, 1933, to the late Joseph and Agnes (Kulish) 
Zmich. 
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He was a member 
of the Knights of Columbus, North American Hunting Club and Sierra Club Life 
Member.
He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine Wright-Partaka, whom he married 
40 years ago on May 4, 1974; children Leonard and Barbara Partaka of Strafford, 
Virginia, Gregory Partaka and special friend Lori of Gregory, Michigan, Donald 
Partaka of Deford, Diana (Partaka) and Michael of Inman, South Carolina, Susan 
(Zmich) and Gary Osminski of Bad Axe, Carol (Zmich) and Brent McDaniel of San 
Diego, and Judy (Zmich) Smith of Bad Axe; 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grand 
children; brother, James Zmich of Bad Axe; and a sister, Arlene and Mark Day of 
Fountain, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by his first wife Evelyn Roberts; Catherine’s first 
husband Leonard Partaka; and his parents.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sisson Funeral Home with Sister 
Jean Baumann presiding. Burial with military honors will be in Grout Township 
Cemetery. 
Visitors may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home, and from 9 a.m. 
until the time of service Monday.
