Brewer, 59, of 3536 Calhoun Rd., Beaverton, died Sunday, Aug. 25, in the Midland Hospital Center after a short illness. Born in Ann Arbor April 3, 1926, he came to Gladwin County in 1937. Mr. Brewer was a carpenter and a veteran of World War II. He was married to the former Sylvia Wendt Dec. 12, 1982, in Gladwin. Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 step-sons, Roger Roberson of Mt. Pleasant, Steven Roberson of Hope and Brent Roberson of Midland; 2 step-daughters, Mrs. Tom (Vicki) Ziemer of Beaverton and Mrs. Greg (Brenda) Scott of Roseville; one brother, Larry of Mesa, Ariz.; 7 sisters, Mrs. Betty Adcock of Clarkston, Mrs. Doris Schultz of Mesa, Ariz., Mr.s Marion Hines of Chesaning, Mrs. Marguerite Markell of Pontiac, Mrs. Catherine Goodell of Midland, Mrs. Joyce Gravelle of Gladwin and Mrs. Darlene Stinger of Beaverton; and 6 grandchildren. Services were held today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Arthur Whisler officiated and burial was in the Arbutus Cemetery.
