JOSEPH THOMPSON Mrs. Joseph Thompson died of pneumonia at her home at Wagarville March 15, after an illness of five days. Bertha Jane Babcock, was born April 20, 1898, in Gladwin county, where she has lived all her life. She was married Oct. 10, 1920, to Joseph Thompson. Three children were born to them, Bertha Marie, Lorraine May and Elaine Frances. Her husband, three daughters, her parents, two brothers, Sidney and James Babcock, of Gladwin, and one sister, Mrs. Ottis Shamel, of Flint survive her with many other relatives. Services were held at the Methodist church at Wagarville Thursday, March 17, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. D. A. Hoenshell, pastor of the Gladwin Free Methodist church. Burial at Ridge cemetery. She was a loving wife and mother, and a patient sufferer for many years. Ernest Vannatter, August Behnke, John, Charles and Dale Reigle and Lyman Smith were pall bearers.
