Effie Schlichter

   Effie Mary Schlichter, 91, of Morpeth, Ont., Can., died suddenly Friday,
March 6, in St. Marys Hospital, Livonia.

   Born in Brown City on September 19, 1889, she lived in Brown City and Gladwin
before moving to Detroit in 1925. She was a bookkeeper for Crowley Miller in
Detroit.

   Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Olive Vanest of Gladwin; and 2 brothers, LeRoy
Schlichter of Detroit and Orville Schlichter of Farmington.

   Rites were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev.
Donald Bates officiated and burial was in the Ridge Cemetery.
