Anna Ziemer

   Anna Ziemer, 93, of Gladwin passed away at Gladwin Nursing and Rehabilitation
Centre on Jan. 27, 2008 following a long illness. She was born in Gladwin on
Dec. 2, 1914 to Julius and Louisa (Gietz) Sauer.

   She was a cook/custodian for the Gladwin Community Schools, retiring in 1982.

   She had resided in Gladwin County her whole life. She was a member of Our
Savior Lutheran Church in Gladwin.

   Anna married Zion Oberlin in Gladwin on May 6, 1933. Her husband, Henry
Ziemer, preceded her in death in 1973. She is survived by her sons, Emil
(Prisilla) Ziemer of Arizona, Arthur Ziemer of Gladwin and Robert (Kathy) Ziemer
of Gladwin; daughter, Ruth (Richard) Walsh of Las Vegas, Nevada; nine
grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; son, William Ziemer; 12 brothers
and sisters. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. today, Jan. 30 at Our Savior
Lutheran Church in Gladwin with Rev. Matthew Schultz officiating.

   She will be laid to rest in Ridge Cemetery in Gladwin. Memorial contributions
can be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church Ladies Aid.
