Although his entire business was destroyed by fire Jan. 28 of this year and himself and family barely escaped with their lives, he has had erected a new business block and residence combined and is now conducting a first class liquor store. Mr. Miller is a native of Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1884 and settled in Winona, Minn. He has travelled through Dakota, Montana and several other western states and finally took up a residence in Wisconsin. In 1891 he took a position as section foreman on the Lake Shore road at Bessemer which position he held until coming to Wakefield in 1900.
