September 7, 1907 Jerry Sullivan, a resident of Ironwood for many years previous to five years ago, died at Eveleth, Minn., last Friday morning, at the age of fifty-seven years. Mr. Sullivan was injured at the Adams mine, where he had been employed since leaving Ironwood, two weeks prior to his death, a car running into him while he was at work in the boiler house. The surviving family consists of the widow, three sons and four daughters as follows: Con, steam shovel engineer at Chisholm, Minn., Mike, engineer at the Adams mine; Mrs. Ernest Ryder of Eveleth; Nellie, who is taking sisterhood orders at Holy Angels Academy, Minneapolis; and Kate, Charlotte and Joseph, who are at home. Mrs. Sullivan and her two brothers, Michael and Tim Shea, and two sons, Michael and Con Sullivan, accompanied the remains from the Mesaba range to Ironwood, arriving here Saturday evening. The funeral took place Sunday, services being held at St. Ambrose Church, interment being at Riverside Cemetery. Deceased was a member of the local division of the A.O.H., the members of that organization following the remains to their last resting place. The bereaved family have the sympathy of many old friends in this city in their sorrow. jic
