Former Bergland Resident Dies
Bergland - Mrs. Sophronia Shoblaskie, 78, former resident of Bergland and 
Trout Creek, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter in law, Mrs. Lenville 
Shoblaskie, at Riverside, Ill., according to information received here today 
by Mrs. Conrad DeVowe, a niece of the deceased.

The body will be brought to the Brown Funeral Home at Bruce Crossing and 
burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery at Bergland, but funeral arrangements are 
incomplete.

Mrs. Shoblaskie was born July 12, 1881 at LaChute, Canada.  She and her 
husband operated the hotel in Bergland until he died a number of years ago and 
since then she had lived in the Chicago area.  Prior to coming here Mr. and 
Mrs. Shoblaskie had been in business in Trout Creek.

Surviving Mrs. Shoblaski are a sister and two brothers in California; two 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  A son, Lenville, died on Dec. 3, 
1956.
