He was assisting in making up a train at the time and was engaged in coupling cars. In some manner he fell or was knocked down falling across one of the rails and the train passing over his body, death resulting at once. The body was taken to the freight house and the next day an inquest was held, resulting in a verdict in accordance with the above facts. It was ascertained that the unfortunate man had relatives residing in Ohio and they were notified of his death, but up to this afternoon (Friday) no word had been received. The remains are still uncovered and if instructions are not received today, the burial will take place tomorrow either in this city or an Ashland. A life insurance policy for $1,500 was found on the body, also a small amount of money. Since the above was written, a Mrs. Anderson of Milwaukee has arrived in town and claims to have been engaged to Simmons.
