From the Ironwood News Record [Ironwood, Michigan], 12 September 1908, Page 1 HANTEN - BUNN Tuesday noon, Sept. 8th, Miss Erma Bunn and Mr. Ray N. Hanten were married at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. F. L. Blackhurst, 616 McLeod Avenue, Ironwood Michigan. The affair was very informal, those present being Miss Sophia Bunn of Ashland, Mrs. O. R. Morse of Hancock, and Mrs. F. L. Blackhurst, sisters of the bride, F. L. Blackhurst, Mrs. Chas. Jones of Ramsey, who played the wedding march, and Miss Eva Hoover of Maple Rapids, Rev. Tortellot officiating with the beautiful ring service. The color scheme of the decorations was white and yellow. In the living room, where the ceremony was performed, hydrangea, white asters, golden glow and nasturtiums were used with cut birch vines and yellow autumn leaves. In the dining room white and green only were used with sweet peas, asters and hydrangea. The bride wore an empire gown of white liberty satin trimmed with chiffon and duchess lace; her only ornaments being a necklace and bracelet, gifts of the groom. Miss Bunn has taught with marked success in Bessemer and Ashland, and the groom is one of Ashland's most popular and successful young business men. Their host of friends wish them every joy and prosperity in their new life. Following the ceremony a charming breakfast was served, after which Mr. and Mrs. Hanten departed on the two o'clock train for Duluth and Minneapolis. They will be at home in Ashland, where a newly furnished flat awaits them. **PLEASE NOTE: I am not a relative of any of the above-named, and found this article while searching for my relatives' wedding announcement.
