Beulah Gertrude Glendenning - Died 14 Dec. 1990 --- Berrien Center - Beulah 
Gertrude Glendenning, 88, a homemaker from Berrien Center, died Friday at 
Berrien General Hospital in Berrien Center. --- A resident of Berrien Center 
for the last 11 years, she had previously lived in Traverse City, Sodus, 
Kalkaska, Hartford and Texas. --- Born Nov. 5, 1902 in Paradise, she was the 
daughter of John and Ada Vandervort. On Dec. 31, 1922 in Traverse City she 
married Walter Dean Glendenning who preceded her in death in 1986. --- She also 
was preceded in death by three brothers, Guy, Victor and Major Vandervort and 
one sister, Veda Reichard. --- She is survived by two sons, Walter P. 
Glendenning of Traverse City and Major D. Glendenning of St. Joseph, nine 
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. --- Funeral services will be held at 
11 a.m. Monday at the Covell-Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley, where friends may 
call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today. The Rev. Bruce R. Kintigh will officiate. 
Burial will be in the Barnum Cemetery, Mayfield.
