Vandervort Dies Tuesday - John Vandervort of Mayfield passed away Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock at a local hospital following a long illness. --- Mr. Vandervort was born in New York state Nov. 4, 1859, and came to this community when a young man, since making his home in and near Traverse City. --- Left to mourn their loss are his widow, residing at Mayfield; two sons, Major of this city and Victor of Coloma; two daughters, Mrs. Veda Reichard of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Beulah Glendenning of Benton Harbor, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Umlor of this city and Mrs. Frank Smith of Central Lake. - Funeral services will be held Friday morning at nine o'clock from the Hibbard Funeral chapel. Rev. William Schueller of St. Francis church officiating. Burial will be made in Mayfield cemetery. ------------------------------------------- 7 Feb. 1942 Burial At Mayfield - The funeral of John Vandervort of Mayfield, a long time resident of the Grand Traverse region, where death occurred Tuesday at a local hospital following a long illness, was held Friday morning from the Hibbard funeral home chapel, Rev.
