George W. Bower   b. 1936   d. 2003
Juanita L. Bower   b. 1939

      George was born on Nov. 1, 1936, in Benzonia, the son of Jim and Mable 
(Sheriff) Bower, and had lived in the Buckley, Grawn and Traverse City area all 
of his life. On June 22, 1957, he married the former Juanita Cunningham in 
Traverse City.
      George had been employed by Traverse City Frame and Axle for 15 years and 
then opened his own business, Bower Service. He enjoyed stock car racing, both 
local and NASCAR, had been involved with the Buckley Old Engine Show for many 
years and enjoyed football.
      
      George was preceded in death by his mother, Mable Dixon.
      No visitation or services are planned at this time
      Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 
525 W. 14th St., Traverse City, MI 49684.
      The family is being served by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
