      TRAVERSE CITY - Barry Lee Boyer, 47, of Traverse City, died unexpectedly 
Thursday, April 7, 2005, at home.
      Barry was born in Meadeville, Pa., on July 7, 1957, the son of Pauline 
(Bakon) and Donald E. Boyer Sr. He married Linda Marie Bedore on Sept. 27, 
1980, in Sault Ste. Marie.
      A graduate of Central Michigan University, with a degree in business 
administration, Barry was the sales manager of the Traverse City J. C. Penney 
store. He had been employed with the company for 26 years. 
      He enjoyed woodworking, collecting antiques and sports.
      
      Barry was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Boyer Sr.; and his 
mother-in-law, Honor Bedore.
      Visitation will take place Monday, April 11, 2005, from 5 to 8 p.m., at 
the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, where services will be held Tuesday at 11 
a.m. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery in Long Lake Township.
      Rather than flowers, the family would ask that memorial contributions in 
Barry's name be directed to a charity of your own choosing.
