COLLINS, ARTHUR R  04-18-2001

      TRAVERSE CITY - Arthur R. Collins, 93, of Traverse City, died on 
Wednesday evening at a local nursing home.
      He was born on Aug. 20, 1907, in Winchester, Ind., the son of Ara and 
Clarissa (Clark) Collins.
      Arthur was employed as a coin machine operator for many years in the 
Traverse City area, retiring in 1976. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing 
pool.
     
      He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kay R. Faust in 1998; four 
sisters, LaVaun Moore, Dorothy "Lois" Hewitt, Zelpha Fennig and Mary Walker-
Peyton; and one brother, Thomas Collins.
      A service of remembrance will be announced at a later date.
      Memorial contributions may be directed to the Grand Traverse Area 
Parkinson's Support Group.
      Arrangements have been entrusted to the Traverse City Chapel of Covell 
Funeral Homes.
