      TRAVERSE CITY - Robert S. Kowalski, 53, of Traverse City, went home to be 
with the Lord, touching the lives of so many, always encouraging others.
      Born June 28, 1946, in Chicago, he was the son of Walter and Helen A. 
(Mackowicz) Kowalski.
      Robert is survived by three children, Brian Kowalski of Bowling Brook, 
Ill, James (Noraida) Kowalski of Hillside, Ill and Andrew Kowalski of Elmhurst, 
Ill.; soul mate, Jill McCullough of Traverse City; father, Walter Kowalski of 
Hillside, Ill.; sister, Lori (Len) Scott of Traverse City; and one grandchild, 
Riley.
      He was preceded in death by his mother, Alexandria "Helen" Kowalski.
      Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Traverse City Chapel of 
Covell Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at New 
Hope Community Church with Pastor David Standfest and Pastor Keith Huffman 
officiating. Burial will be in Yuba Cemetery.
      Memorial contributions may be directed to New Hope Community Church.
