MORRIS, 17, of Traverse City, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Arrangements are pending at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. --------------------------------------- TRAVERSE CITY - Sometimes there is given to us a brilliant burst of starlight to reflect God's awesome presence in our midst. Adrian Elyse Morris was one of those wonderful points of light that was granted to us for a short time. On August 25, 2004, our beautiful bright angel was suddenly taken to the presence of her Heavenly Father, where she lives in joy and peace forever. Her family sadly, but prayerfully, releases her to our God, whose grace and mercy endures forever. He surely knew we would have her but a short time; so He gave her multiple talents and gifts to amaze and delight us. Adrian was an artist, singer, musician, writer, dancer, and so much more. Her faith in Jesus was secure and strong and her joyful spirit will continue to give us light forever. Born on July 21, 1987, in Forrest City, Ark., Adrian had lived in Traverse City with her parents for the past 12 years. She enjoyed working with her mom at Curves and had recently begun working at Banana Tree in downtown Traverse City. Adrian is survived by her parents, Loyd A. and Penelope L. Morris and her brother, Kent; her half sisters, Celeste Morris and Mallory Glover; by her boyfriend, Nathan Landrum, who was the love of her life; her grandparents, Jerry and Sherry McInn of Wynne, Ark.; and Pastor Robert and Roxanne Collier of Lake Ann. Also surviving is her great-grandfather, Marshall Durham of California; her aunt, Leah Anne; her uncle, Chris Collier of Fla.; and her aunt and uncle Elaine Brooner and Bill Morris, both of Kansas. Several cousins also survive. Visitation will take place Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Services for Adrian will take place at 3 p.m., Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at the Church of the Living God, with her grandfather officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery at Long Long Lake.
