Dave leaves behind his loving wife, Dianna; and his children, Nicki, Kristina and Matt. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 5, at Interlochen Bible Church. Dave also left behind the following letter: A lot of you know me as the Big Dipper, or Big Dave, or just Dave. Well, today I passed away and I'm no longer with my good friends and neighbors. I'm not a cheap or tight sort of guy, but I figure why waste a big funeral expense to people who already have a lot of money. So this letter is to all of you. I'm gonna miss every one of you from Detroit to Mackinaw - Traverse City to Arkansas. But we will be seeing each other again in a better place and a better time. God bless every one of you. I love every one of you and you know someday I'll be standing there waiting for you. So until that day comes, hold down the fort. Protect and love your neighbors.
