Lewis b. 24 Oct. 1972 d. 20 July 2004 Grand Traverse County Death Record -------------------------------------- INTERLOCHEN - Beautiful little Anthony "Tony" Lewis was born in Traverse City on Oct. 24, 1972 to Larry and Mary (McMaster) Lewis. He left this earth on Tuesday, July 20, 2004. Tony attended Interlochen Community School and graduated from Traverse City Central High School. For several years, Tony was the loyal employee of Nick Boudjalis at Long Lake Inn. He lived in the Interlochen area his entire short life. If you had known Tony, it would have been easy to see why so many of us loved him and why our hearts are filled with grief at his sudden leaving. Even though our Tony went through many struggles, he recently shared that he had finally come to realize that, yes, God did love him and he in return loved God. Tony loved the earth. He saw and cherished the beauty of her roaring rivers and falls, the gentleness of her streams and brooks, along with the grandeur of her forests. He very much enjoyed hunting, especially with his dad, Larry. Children were a great joy to him and his numerous cats were an important part of his life. Hardly anyone could ever find morel mushrooms with more success than Tony. He put his exceptional math skills to good use in helping his sisters with their homework and he had tremendous artistic talent. Tony will be fondly remembered by his family, a multitude of friends and his co-workers at Boone's Long Lake Inn. He will be remembered in prayer by his spiritual God-parents, Jeanne O'Hearn and Deacon Rene Hoenscheid. Tony is survived by his parents, Larry and Nan (Couturier) Lewis; his loving sisters, Amanda Marie, Ashley Anne and Alissa Jean Lewis; grandparents, Deneen and Clarabell (Roddy) Lewis, Stan and Adell (Couturier) Maksimowicz, Shirley Savage, and Fred (Lucy) Couturier; and his birth mother, Mary Bailey.
