Obituaries from the Clare County Review:

Geraldine Deal, 85, of Alma, passed away Saturday Evening, January 2,
1999 at the Michigan Masonic Home in Alma, after a lengthy illness.
     Geraldine was born July 21, 1913 in Deckerville, Michigan to the
late James and Teressa (Dellabough) Stringer.  Geraldine was a former
member of the Eastern Star and was a member of the American Legion Post
in Harrison.  On September 18, 1965 she married Fredrick (Ted) Deal, he
predeceased her on March l, 1991.
     Geraldine is survived by a daughter, Margaret (Arthur) Martin of
Sanford; six grandchilren, Tom, John, Teressa, Ted, Chuck and Kathy;
thiteen great grandchildren; a cousin, Helen Ross of Cadillac; and
sister-in-law Nancy Abbott of Bad axe.  Geraldine was precedeased by a
son Royce Abbott; two brothers Elywn and Charles and a sister, Helen.
     Funeral and committal services were held Thursday, January 7, 1999
at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home in Freeland with Rev. Kirk Havel
officiating.  Burial will be in Lake George Cemetery.  Those planning an
expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Cancer Society
Trinity Lutheran Church of Midland or the donor's favorite charity.
