Note:  Selden Caldwell was born in July 1846 Ohio and passed away March 9, 
1922.

U.S. Civil war records and profile shows he enlisted at the age of 18 on 22 
Feb 1865 in Pine River Twp., Gratiot Co., MI as a Private serving the state of 
Michigan and survived the war.  Enlisted in Company C, Michigan 8th Infantry 
Regiment on 25 Feb 1865.  Mustered out on 30 Jul 1865 at Washington D.C.

Family tree sources show he was the son of Samuel and Eleanor (Clouts) 
Caldwell, husband of Alice L. Caldwell and father of Clarence and Bessie Mae 
Caldwell.
